Company history and shortlist achievements

1989 Joli’s Trade & Development Co. Inc., the first company in the group, started operation in the Caribbean and offered financial and logistic services to the Hold-Trade Group located in Nigeria, Switzerland, Germany and USA.Through the company European Product Promotion Company Inc. (EPPC), EU products were sold in bulk to importers in the Caribbean and Venezuela. Amongst other products, Keune hair products and UPAT fasteners were successful introduced.

1994 Joli’s TDC Co. Inc. developed management services in The Netherlands for growing, medium sized companies. For one of our clients Sudco BV geneesmiddelen – the largest independent pharmaceutical company in The Netherlands, we initiated the export of pharmaceutical products at a value of U$D 1.0 million to medical institutes in Croatia/Serbia during the war (1991-1995). As per mandate we transformed the company into a professional organization in 18 months. The company was successfully sold in favour of its shareholders to BASF Pharma/Knoll AG.

1997 Joli’s TDC Holding BV was established enabling further expansion in The Netherlands and EU. Additional management activities were introduced and participation in local and international companies was foreseen. The company founded OfficePlus BV having two Business Centres in Amsterdam. In addition Joli’s TDC Holding BV was co-founder and member of the Office Business Centres Association (OBCA).

2002 As a result of a market research carried out, international activities were expanded to the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Djibouti and Somaliland). Appointed by Jos. Hansen & Soehne GmbH. in Ethiopia, high value contracts for large industrial and infrastructure projects as well as for three government owned breweries were received and implemented between 2002 and 2008. Our management provided services to Heineken International BV during the acquisition period and as a result two breweries were taken-over for the amount of U$D 163 million. Another impressive contract was received for the amount of ETB 7.0 million for the supply and service of geo-systems enabling development and monitoring of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam project. At 6000 MW, the dam will be the largest hydroelectric powerplant in Africa. Due to exceptional performance we received the international popular ‘Leica Sales Excellence Award 2004’.

2012 Joli’s TDC Holding BV received a consulting contract from Tetra Pak, market leader in carton packaging for the food industry. Our feasibility study related to the development of the local dairy industry in Nigeria resulted in the establishment of DaDa dairy products Ltd. being the first of its kind in Africa. The company is creating employment and is reducing poverty in rural areas while the consumer enjoys good health, convenience and favourable prices.

2015 Joli’s TDC Holding BV and E&P Focus Africa Consulting GmbH. (Hamburg/ Germany), agreed to a partnership. This partnership will reinforce our consulting activities in The Netherlands, Germany and Africa.

2017 Joli’s TDC Holding BV is providing an appropriate framework to promote trade and sustainable development in Ethiopia for Joh. Achelis & Söhne GmbH. Achelis is a long-established German trading company that was founded in 1826. It is headquartered in the Hanseatic City of Bremen, and has a network of associated companies and representatives in many countries in East Africa and South-East Asia.
